Mathesha Pathirana, a bowler from Sri Lanka, made an impact in the much-awaited India vs. Sri Lanka (Ind vs. SL) cricket match when he bowled out Indian star Hardik Pandya with an amazing delivery.

Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to go first with batting in the initial T20 international of the three-match series. They enter into fielding with a “6-5 combination,”  said Charith Asalanka. Washington Sundar, Shivam Dube, Sanju Samson, and Khaleel Ahmed are the four Indians who would not participate.

Suryakumar has become T20I captain in this format while two-time World Cup winner Gambhir is India’s team coach at present. Surprisingly, Suryakumar was promoted because he had outperformed Hardik Pandya for this role. Additionally, his relatively young age as captain made him overlooked for selection.

Mathesha Pathirana, a Sri Lankan bowler, struck a spectacular yorker to dismiss Hardik Pandya, his second wicket of the night. The 151 kmph delivery was full and headed back into the right-hander. Pandya attempted to back away and knock it over the on-side, but the ball flicked his pad and crashed into the stumps.

Pathirana was ecstatic as he celebrated the vital expulsion. Hardik Pandya’s quick innings concluded with 9 runs off 10 balls, including one boundary. Pathirana’s superb delivery demonstrated his expertise and accuracy.

After he made his first T20I debut as captain, of India, Suryakumar Yadav, scored a stunning 58 off just 26 balls for India at the first T20 match against Srilanka which ended up with Rishabh Pant scoring 49 runs from 33 balls and India totalled 213 for 7.

Despite new openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill beginning the game with a score of 74, Sri Lanka had an incredible comeback. However, Suryakumar’s blitzkrieg and a late surge by Pant brought India above two hundred runs after an invitation to bat first.
