Antigua and Barbuda Falcons (ABF) pacer Mohammad Amir bowled out Sunil Narine of the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the 20th match of the 2024 Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Narine managed only four runs on Thursday, September 19, in Trinidad, continuing his struggles with the bat.
It was Chris Green, the ABF skipper who won toss and opted to bowl first, with Amir on new-ball responsibilities. In the opening over, the third delivery was hit for a four by Narine but immediately after that, he made a comeback with a wicket at next ball.Narine was having problems to find his ground against Amir’s fullish delivery.
The left-handed batsman stood like a rock and did not move his legs against a ball that came into him.The delivery hit him on the pad first and then went to hit stumps, as it was going too fast for him to even try to defend it towards leg side. This left us with two stumps uprooted completely; complete carnage.

In the inverse competition (September 5), Narine was dismissed for a four-ball duck. Following a rich IPL 2024 season in which he played for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he has not found success at all while batting at the top.
In this continuing CPL season, Narine has collected only 67 runs across six matches with a strike rate of 163.41. Recently, Moeen Ali dismissed him using a lovely ball during their match against Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Early dismissal set pace for ABF, who limited their opponent’s score to just 134 runs on the board and seven wickets lost during their first innings. The Pakistan fast bowler had got hit hard by Kieron Pollard in his previous over, but at least he ended well with figures of 1/31.
Sunil Narine also wanted to compensate for his bad performance with bat and bowled tight overs at 1-20 including a maiden one. Nevertheless, it was not enough since ABF chased it down one over ahead.
The match produced an interesting event when DRS ruled Imad Wasim out LBW even though ultra edge data showed some strengthening. Also, when he left the field, they changed their minds.
