A video featuring India pacer Mohammed Siraj has taken social media by storm. In the viral clip, the fast bowler is seen caught in the middle of a massive and uncontrollable crowd. Admirers gathered in large numbers, eager to click selfies and collect his autograph.

However, the situation quickly became chaotic as people pushed forward without restraint. Even security personnel struggled to manage the growing frenzy. As the commotion increased, Siraj visibly lost patience. He was forced to raise his voice, asking the crowd to maintain discipline while he made his way toward his car. He also warned that he would leave immediately if the disturbance did not stop. The incident highlighted the challenges public figures often face when enthusiasm crosses limits.

Sudden U-Turn Before Spain Tri

Interestingly, Siraj had originally planned to travel to Spain to attend the Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad La Liga clash. His tickets were already booked, and he was preparing for the trip. However, his plans changed overnight when he received news of his selection for India’s T20 World Cup 2026 squad as a replacement for injured Harshit Rana. The call came as a surprise, especially because Siraj was not part of the original squad announcement.

After India’s opening match against the United States of America, where Siraj delivered an impressive spell, he shared the unexpected story behind his comeback. “Two days ago Surya bhai said : “Miyaan bags pack kaar aur aaja (Pack your bags and come (to Mumbai)). I told him “Bhai mazaak mat karo kyon ki yeh to honewala hain nahi (Brother please don’t joke as this won’t happen). But he said ‘mai sach keh raha hoon, ready ho ja’ (I am telling you the truth, get ready),” he revealed during the post-match presentation. Initially, Siraj believed it was a joke and refused to take it seriously.

Destiny’s Call And Comeback Story

Soon after, selector Pragyan Ojha confirmed the same news, making the moment real for the pacer. “Then (India selector Pragyan) Ojha bhai called me… Whatever the almighty has written, no one can change that,” Siraj added. His excitement was evident as he narrated the experience.

Despite missing out on the first squad list, Mohmmad Siraj continued to work hard in domestic cricket. Even when India’s strength and conditioning coach Adrian Le Roux messaged him, he was too exhausted from playing two four-day matches to respond immediately. Eventually, instead of flying to Madrid, Siraj found himself boarding a flight to Mumbai for the T20 World Cup. He admitted that he never imagined playing in the mega tournament was still possible. Yet, fate had different plans, turning disappointment into opportunity within days.
