MS Dhoni is one of the hardest hitters of the cricket ball in the world. In the death overs, pressure is always on the bowler while bowling to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain. Cricket fans witnessed similar scenes in the ongoing match between Chennai and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

In the 18th over of the game , MS Dhoni hit Prasidh Krishna for a massive six towards midwicket. Krishna bowled a full bowl angling in towards Dhoni. CSK skipper cleared his front leg and hit a breathtaking six towards midwicket. The ball was caught by a fan in the stands.

However, MS Dhoni failed to finish his innings on a high. The 41-year-old wicket-keeper batter could manage to score just 26 runs in 28 balls. He never got the momentum in his innings. Captain Cool has shown glimpses of his vintage finishes against Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Captain and Kolkata Knight Riders this year.

CSK go down fighting against Rajasthan

Batting first, riding on Moeen Ali’s swashbuckling 93 runs, the defending champions posted 150 runs on the board. Moeen got Chennai off to a flying start, adding 75 runs in the first six overs before Rajasthan managed to bounce back. They conceded only 75 runs in the final 14 overs to contain Chennai to a low score.

Yashasvi Jaiswal got the Royals off to a fantastic start, and although they lost Jos Buttler very early in the run chase, it didn’t matter much. Sanju Samson played a rusty knock, and so did Paddikal. However, Ravichandran Ashwin once again proved his worth.

In addition to his fine spell with the ball, the all-rounder also chipped in with a signifcant contribution with the bat. As a result of his all-round excellence, the Royals finish as the second ranked team in the points table.
