[WATCH]- MS Dhoni Shares A Light Moment With Sanjiv Goenka After Leading CSK To Victory Over LSG

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) owner Sanjiv Goenka was spotted engaging in a brief conversation with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni following their IPL 2025 clash at the Ekana International Stadium on Monday. A video shared on social media captured the veteran wicketkeeper speaking with Goenka before interacting with CSK CEO and director Kashinath Vishwanathan.

Stepping in as captain in Ruturaj Gaikwad’s absence, Dhoni played a crucial role in ending CSK’s five-match losing streak. The 43-year-old remained unbeaten on 26, guiding the team to a successful chase of 167 in the final over. His 11-ball cameo, which included four fours and a six, earned him the Player of the Match award.

“Chennai Wicket Helped” – Dhoni on Ekana Pitch

During the post-match presentation, MS Dhoni expressed optimism that the five-wicket win would provide the team with valuable momentum going ahead. He credited their balanced bowling attack for giving them the upper hand in the contest. He said:

“Good to win a game, unfortunately the games haven’t gone our way, it gives a lot of confidence to the team. It was a tough game, glad to be on the winning side and hopefully it gives us momentum.”

“We were struggling in the first six overs in previous games when bowling but then come back in the middle overs … we were not getting the kind of the start also as a batting unit …maybe it was because of the Chennai wicket … maybe we will do better on better wickets, give the batters more confidence.”

“We need more bowlers in the first six, we were putting too much pressure on Ash to bowl two overs in the first six, so we made changes to have more bowlers in the first six, this looks like a better attack.”
