[WATCH]- MS Dhoni Shares The ‘Selfie of the Year,’ Posing Playfully With Wife Sakshi

MS Dhoni, known for being intensely private and seldom making public appearances, also keeps his social media presence minimal. However, a recent Instagram post by his wife, Sakshi Dhoni, offered a rare glimpse into the former skipper’s life off the cricket field.

The couple recently attended a private concert by music composer duo Salim and Sulaiman in Meerut. Sakshi shared snapshots from the event on social media, with one particular picture gaining considerable attention from “Thala” fans.

The World Cup-winning captain was spotted striking a trendy pout in a selfie with Sakshi.   For the concert, Dhoni opted for a simple yet stylish black kurta with subtle textured patterns, while Sakshi stunned in a black ethnic outfit adorned with intricate golden embroidery.

RP Singh also attended the musical event with his wife, Devanshi Singh

Former India fast bowler and Dhoni’s ex-teammate, RP Singh, also attended the musical extravaganza, accompanied by his wife, Devanshi Singh. As the pictures from the event circulated online, fans flooded the comments section, reacting to Dhoni’s rare pout selfie.

One fan exclaimed, “Did Mahi really pout? Oh god, only Sakshi can make him real Pookie.” Another dubbed it the “best selfie of the year,” while someone else affectionately referred to Dhoni as “Pookie Thala.”

Meanwhile, music composers Salim and Sulaiman, known for hits like Chak De India and Ali Maula, expressed their excitement at performing in front of Dhoni. They didn’t miss the chance to snap a picture with the cricket legend after the concert.

Salim-Sulaiman shared the pictures on Instagram with a caption– “What do I say – Dhoni, you made Chak De! one of the most special milestones for us by lifting that trophy and bringing it home! What a memorable time spent last night.”

Dhoni is set to return to action in IPL 2025 after being retained by the Chennai Super Kings for ₹4 crore.
