Veteran cricketer MS Dhoni was recently seen enjoying a helicopter ride ahead of the IPL 2026 season. The former India captain is set to return once again in CSK colours. Dhoni was spotted seated inside the helicopter along with a few others, dressed in a black shirt and slipping on his sunglasses as the aircraft prepared for take-off.
The helicopter was identified as a VT-RGY Airbus H160. After confirming that all passengers were safely and comfortably seated, the staff closed the helicopter doors from both sides before it finally lifted off. You can watch the video here:

MS Dhoni Starts Gearing Up For IPL 2026 Campaign
MS Dhoni was retained by CSK ahead of the IPL 2025 season for ₹4 crore under the ‘uncapped’ player category. With Ruturaj Gaikwad unavailable, Dhoni also took over the leadership role during the 2025 season. The franchise went on to retain him once again ahead of the IPL 2026 auction.
The veteran cricketer has already started preparing for the upcoming season. A video of him training in the nets surfaced on social media last month, where he was seen donning the familiar yellow pads, gearing up and batting during a practice session.
CSK endured a disappointing IPL 2025 campaign. Even with Dhoni captaining the side for most of the season, the team struggled and finished at the bottom of the points table, managing just four victories from 14 matches.
The veteran also struggled to make a significant contribution with the bat. He managed 196 runs in 13 innings, averaging 24.50 with a strike rate of 135.17, and his highest score was an unbeaten 30. The five-time champions will look to bounce back in IPL 2026.
