During the IPL 2024 match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, a notable incident occurred involving MS Dhoni expressing frustration towards a cameraman.

As CSK batted first and amassed 210 runs, Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube’s outstanding performances drew attention, leading to the cameraman focusing on Dhoni. The visibly frustrated 42-year-old displayed his dissatisfaction by angrily tossing a bottle he held.

Gaikwad’s century, combined with Dube’s half-century, propelled CSK to a total of 210 against LSG

In their initial batting innings, Chennai Super Kings faced adversity when Matt Henry removed Ajinkya Rahane early in the game’s first over. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad, reassuming his opening position, led the charge, aiming to build significant collaborations with Daryl Mitchell and Ravindra Jadeja.

Despite limited assistance from these two, the CSK skipper found a dependable partner in Shivam Dube as the innings progressed. Gaikwad swiftly reached his first century of the season, while Dube aggressively scored a rapid fifty, resulting in a partnership worth 100 runs.

Dube’s innings concluded in the last over, amassing 66 runs from only 27 balls, including three fours and seven sixes. With just two balls remaining, MS Dhoni entered the field to bat. He sealed the innings with a boundary off the final delivery, setting a challenging target of 211 runs for KL Rahul and his team. Meanwhile, Gaikwad remained unbeaten, smashing 108 runs off just 60 balls, comprising 12 fours and three sixes.
