[WATCH]- MS Dhoni’s Post-Match Limp Sparks Concerns After LSG vs CSK IPL 2025 Clash

After Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) thrilling final-over victory over the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 14, captain MS Dhoni was seen limping as he made his way into the team hotel. The 43-year-old played a crucial role in the win, showcasing exceptional captaincy, wicketkeeping, and a quick-fire 11-ball 26* to guide CSK to a successful chase of 167 with three balls remaining.

However, despite his key contributions, Dhoni appeared to be in discomfort throughout CSK’s fielding innings and during the post-match presentation. The veteran wicketkeeper claimed three dismissals during LSG’s batting and helped his team clinch victory with his late cameo.

While CSK fans celebrated ending their five-game losing streak, a viral video of Dhoni limping raised concerns. You can watch the video here:

Dhoni has struggled with knee issues for the past three years, even undergoing surgery after CSK’s 2023 title win. Despite playing all 14 matches last season, the problem lingered, leading him to bat lower down the order in the last two IPL seasons, usually with just a few overs left.

“God makes things really challenging”- MS Dhoni following CSK’s victory over LSG.

MS Dhoni recognized the tough battle CSK fought to end their losing streak and secure their second win of IPL 2025 in the clash against LSG. As an added highlight, Dhoni was named Player of the Match for his stellar all-round performance.

This was his first Player of the Match award in the IPL since the 2019 season. Reflecting on CSK’s victory in the post-match presentation, Dhoni shared his thoughts [Via Cricbuzz]:

“It’s good to win a game. When you play a tournament like this, you want to win games. Unfortunately the [earlier] matches didn’t go our way for whatever reasons. There can be lots of reasons. It’s good to have a win on our side.”

“Gives confidence to the whole team and helps us improve in areas we want to improve. We all knew that when it doesn’t come your way in cricket, God makes it very tough, and it was a tough game.”
