Former Indian captain MS Dhoni‘s Ranchi residence has undergone a significant transformation. The exterior wall features his iconic jersey number 7, accompanied by a depiction of his famous helicopter shot. Over the years, the number 7 has become synonymous with Dhoni’s legacy.
His name is also displayed above the jersey number on the wall. Following his retirement from international cricket, the BCCI honored him by retiring the number 7 jersey as a tribute to the legendary skipper.
Additionally, the residence showcases a dedicated wall featuring some of Dhoni’s most memorable moments, including his signature helicopter shot, wicket-keeping stances, and iconic poses from the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup final.

As per a report by ‘India Today,’ the Jharkhand State Housing Board allotted the land for Dhoni’s Ranchi residence in 2009. Following the extensive renovation and stylish upgrades, the house has now turned into a popular selfie spot for fans and visitors.
MS Dhoni Set for IPL 2025 Comeback
Despite retiring from international cricket, MS Dhoni continues to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He stepped down as CSK captain in 2023, with Ruturaj Gaikwad taking over the leadership from the 2024 season.
However, Dhoni remains a key player for CSK. Ahead of IPL 2025, the franchise retained him for INR 4 crore under the ‘uncapped player’ category, ensuring his participation in the upcoming season and boosting their experience and leadership.
One of the most successful captains in IPL history, Dhoni has led CSK to five titles. Over his illustrious IPL career spanning over a decade, he has played 264 matches, scoring 5243 runs at an average of 39.12 and a strike rate of 137.53, including 24 half-centuries.
