The Mumbai Indians squad engaged in a fun team bonding session on Sunday ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 season. The session took place at an outdoor “bio-secure MI Arena” at Jio World Garden, in Mumbai.
Mumbai Indians have built a 13,000 square meter “MI Arena” which will exclusively serve as a recreational facility for their players, families, and the coaching staff and support staff. The facility will help the cricketers to ‘relax and have a balanced life”, as stated by the franchise in their statement.
On Sunday, Mumbai Indians posted a video from their team bonding session held in the MI arena. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Kieron Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah and others participated in fun games in the area during the session.
“The opening of MI Arena was a total धमाल event! 🤩 P.S. You will just love Ro in this video. He was truly in his element. 🤣💙 #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians MI TV,” Mumbai Indians wrote.

MI Arena will allow the team to connect: Mumbai Indians
The MI arena houses various facilities, including a futsal ground, pickle ball court, box cricket, foot volleyball. It also has a golf driving range, MI Battleground, mini Golf, MI Cafe and a kids zone.
The Mumbai franchise in their statement expressed that their priority is to keep the players happy and safe. The statement read:
“MI Arena” has been created to allow the team to connect and get to know each other better through the season, but also un-wind and relax. The past 2 years has thrown up so many unique challenge. But we are “One Family” and it is MI’s priority and responsibility to keep everyone safe and happy.”
Mumbai Indians will begin their IPL 2022 campaign on March 27. They will take on Delhi Capitals in their opening game at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
