[WATCH]- Nicholas Pooran Slams 4 Sixes In An Over vs DC In IPL 2025

Nicholas Pooran delivered a sensational batting display in the IPL 2025 clash between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Vizag on Monday, March 24. The wicketkeeper-batter hammered four consecutive sixes off Tristan Stubbs in a 28-run over.

The explosive hitting took place in the 13th over of LSG’s innings. After a dot ball, Pooran launched four back-to-back sixes, targeting deep backward square leg, long-on (twice), and long-off. He then capped off the over with a crisp straight drive. His blistering knock also saw him reach his 10th IPL fifty.

With this innings, Pooran became only the fourth player to smash 600 sixes in T20 cricket, joining Chris Gayle (1056), Kieron Pollard (908*), and Andre Russell (733*).

Nicholas Pooran was retained by the Super Giants for a staggering INR 21 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 auction. The explosive West Indies batter had an impressive season last year, scoring 499 runs in 14 innings at a striking rate of 178.21, including three half-centuries.

Across his T20 career (excluding this innings), Pooran has amassed 8,642 runs in 384 matches, featuring three centuries and 51 fifties.

Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh shine for LSG vs DC in IPL 2025

A dominant batting performance from Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh powered LSG against DC in the IPL 2025 clash. Marsh blazed his way to 72 off 36 balls at a strike rate of 200, smashing six sixes and as many fours.

Pooran was even more explosive, hammering 75 off just 30 deliveries at a staggering strike rate of 250, with seven sixes and six fours. The duo stitched together an 87-run stand for the second wicket.

At the time of writing, LSG stood at 169/4 after 14.5 overs, with David Miller and Ayush Badoni at the crease. Pooran’s innings came to an end when Mitchell Starc bowled him with a full-length delivery.
