Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) wicketkeeper-batter Nicholas Pooran showed a touching gesture toward a fan who was accidentally hit by one of his sixes during the IPL 2025 clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) on April 12 at the Ekana International Stadium.
The West Indies star met the injured fan and gifted him a signed cap ahead of LSG’s upcoming match against Delhi Capitals. Pooran had played a match-winning knock of 61 off just 34 balls, smashing seven sixes as LSG successfully chased down 181 with two deliveries remaining.
One of those towering shots struck a fan on the head, but despite receiving medical attention, the fan chose to stay and enjoy the rest of the match. You can watch the video here:

While the fan’s head was still bandaged, the left-handed batter handed him a signed cap and asked how he was feeling.
“All is well?”
When asked about his reaction to the kind gesture, the fan, Nabeel, expressed unwavering support for the team, saying that no matter what, he just wants LSG to keep winning. He added:
“Badhiya. Pooran sir ne call karwaayi thi. Main aaya, main mila, mulaqaat hui. Poocha, sab khairiyat? Sab theek? Kal main aa raha hoon dekhne. Chakka aa jaaye, sar phoot jaaye, koi dikkat nahin hai. Lekin apni Lucknow ki team jeetti rehni chahiye. Us din hamaari team jeeti thi, yeh baat ki khushi hai. Apni yeh team, trophy ki dream.”
“(Feels amazing. Pooran sir had me called. I came and I met him. He asked me how am I doing. I’m coming to see the match tomorrow. Let anything happen, even if I get hurt, Lucknow team should keep winning. That day our team won and I was glad about it.)”
Nicholas Pooran had scored 75 against Delhi Capitals earlier this season
The Super Giants and Capitals have faced off once in IPL 2025, where the Trinidadian standout lit up the match with a blazing 75 off 30 balls in Vishakhapatnam. However, his effort was eclipsed by Ashutosh Sharma’s late-game heroics, as Delhi pulled off a thrilling chase of 210, winning with just one wicket in hand.
With 368 runs in eight innings at an average of 52.57, Nicholas Pooran sits as the tournament’s second-highest run-scorer, just behind B Sai Sudharsan.
