[WATCH] Nitish Kumar Reddy Grabs An Outstanding Juggling Catch Near The Boundary To Dismiss Quinton De Kock

SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy grabbed a remarkable catch to provide his team with the initial breakthrough in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday. The promising player’s catch dismissed Quinton de Kock for only two runs in the crucial game affecting the qualification scenario.

After sitting out of the last few matches, De Kock returned to the playing XI, reinstating LSG’s typical opening partnership with KL Rahul. Opting to bat first, the duo faced difficulties against the new ball, especially De Kock. Struggling to score off his first four deliveries, De Kock tried his trademark leg-side whip off a length delivery from Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Although he seemed to connect well, Nitish Kumar Reddy was positioned perfectly at the deep square leg boundary. The young player stretched to his maximum to prevent the ball from going over the boundary ropes.

Even though he had control of the ball, his momentum was carrying him towards the boundary line. However, he released the ball in time and managed to get back inside the ropes to complete the catch. SRH’s fielding squad is in excellent form as they come back to their home ground. Similar to Nitish Reddy, another uncapped player, Sanvir Singh, took a spectacular catch at mid-on to send Marcus Stoinis back to the pavilion.

Nitish Kumar Reddy had also grabbed a remarkable catch against MI in IPL 2023

Nitish Kumar Reddy, in addition to his outstanding batting and useful bowling, is also a superb fielder, making him one of the most promising all-round prospects in the nation.

In just his second IPL match against the Mumbai Indians (MI), he took a sensational catch to dismiss the then-skipper Rohit Sharma.

The excellent fielding by the young players from SRH has put the home team in a commanding position against LSG. The early dismissals have put the visitors in a challenging position, as they have managed to score only 23 runs in five overs.
