Nitish Reddy Smashes Mitchell Starc For A Stunning Six Over Deep Extra Cover
Under immense pressure, young Nitish Reddy stepped up to counter the Australian quicks, adding quick and crucial runs for India in the first innings of the second Test at Adelaide.
Before his jaw-dropping six against Scott Boland, Reddy played another exquisite shot that captivated the crowd. Facing the first ball of the 41st over from Mitchell Starc, the 21-year-old stretched his arms to loft a 140.2kph delivery over deep extra cover for a spectacular six, showcasing his skill and confidence.
Starc, already with five wickets to his name, continued to trouble the Indian batters with the pink ball. However, Nitish Reddy showed no fear against the in-form pacer, taking him on with a breathtaking shot worthy of endless replays.
Starc ultimately had the last laugh, dismissing Nitish for 42 on the first ball of the 45th over. Despite this, Reddy’s late counter-attack helped India push their total to 180 before being bowled out.
