India debutant Prince Yadav produced a brilliant diving catch to dismiss Ibrahim Zadran during the second ODI against Afghanistan at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Wednesday, June 17. Drafted into the playing XI in place of Prasidh Krishna, Prince made a promising start with the ball as India aimed to seal the three-match series with an unassailable 2-0 lead.
The young pacer came close to claiming his maiden international wicket earlier, but the effort was overturned after the TV umpire called it a no-ball. Nevertheless, the Delhi youngster made a strong impact in the field. The dismissal came off a sharp bouncer from Arshdeep Singh, which Zadran attempted to pull.
Caught in an awkward position, the Afghan batter mistimed the shot, sending the ball looping high off the top edge towards the leg side. Charging in from deep backward square leg, Prince Yadav sprinted to his left and launched into a full-length dive to complete a superb catch just as the ball seemed destined to drop safely into an empty area.
The debutant was visibly thrilled after the effort, with his teammates rushing over to celebrate and congratulate him on the outstanding grab. Watch the video here:

Centuries from Gill and Ishan Power India to Huge Total
India captain Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan produced outstanding centuries to power the hosts to a formidable total of 402 runs. Rohit Sharma provided early momentum with an aggressive start, setting the stage for Gill and Kishan to dominate the innings.
Gill led the charge with a superb 154, while Kishan hammered 125 off just 79 balls in a dazzling display of stroke play. For Afghanistan, Nangeyalia Kharoti was the standout performer with the ball, claiming four wickets. Ace leg-spinner Rashid Khan also contributed significantly, finishing with three wickets to his name.
