Watch – Prithvi Shaw Undone By Another Brilliant In-Swinger

Prithvi Shaw’s nightmare with the bat continues as he got out for a paltry score of four in the second innings of the first Test against Australia in Adelaide. Previously, India had secured a crucial lead of 53 runs bowling out the hosts for 191 runs after tailenders made Indian bowlers work hard for their last couple of wickets.

Bowling out Australia for 191 runs, India had to negate last eight overs of the day’s play. The management wanted to keep their wickets column intact but a flash of brilliance from the No.1 Test bowler in the world Pat Cummins gave Australia the much-needed wicket. After getting out on a second-ball duck in the first innings, Prithvi Shaw managed to score only four runs in the second essay.

Prithvi Shaw gets out cheaply once again

The youngster didn’t try to press forward leaving a massive gap between bat and pad. The ball traversed through the gate to dismantle the sticks. It was some sloppy footwork from Prithvi Shaw and India lose one wicket very early in the innings once again. Former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting, who has worked with Shaw in the IPL had earlier dissected his flaws which is hurting the Delhi batsman badly.

“Prithvi Shaw is very comfortable playing the ball away from his body. He does get his head in line with the ball but he doesn’t commit his front foot to the line of the ball and quite often leaves a big gap between bat and pad and that’s where the Aussies will target,” Ponting had said.
