[WATCH]- Quinton de Kock Gets Out On A Duck In The CSK vs LSG IPL 2024 Match

Lucknow Super Giants’ opener Quinton de Kock will be deeply disappointed with his dismissal against the Chennai Super Kings in their IPL 2024 match at Chepauk on Tuesday, April 23. He was tempted by a gentle outswinger from Deepak Chahar, aiming to drive it through the covers for a boundary to start his innings.

Unfortunately, Quinton de Kock managed only to nick the ball with an inside edge, leading to his off-stump being hit. The left-hander was visibly upset as he had to walk back to the pavilion.

Following their impressive score of 210/4 in 20 overs, CSK got off to the ideal start they had hoped for with the ball.

LSG’s chances of defeating CSK hinge on Marcus Stoinis

Lucknow’s troubles compounded when their captain, KL Rahul, departed for only 16 runs, attempting to clear the inner ring but getting caught at covers. The team required someone to inject momentum into their innings, and Marcus Stoinis seized the opportunity after being promoted to No.3.

Stoinis aggressively took on the hosts’ bowlers and has swiftly surpassed fifty runs. Devdutt Padikkal endured a tough time at the crease, but his dismissal has brought Nicholas Pooran to bat.

As of now, LSG require 87 runs from the final six overs, with five of them likely to be bowled by Matheesha Pathirana and Mustafizur Rahman, presenting a significant challenge. Although the required run rate is steep, dew could hinder the CSK bowlers, potentially aiding LSG’s efforts.

LSG understands the importance of the partnership between Stoinis and Pooran for their chances. To keep their hopes alive, the visitors must show resilience and determination. The upcoming game for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 27th at Ekana Sports City in Lucknow.
