Watch: Radha Yadav’s Outstanding Fielding In The Second ODI Against New Zealand

In the second ODI between the Indian Women’s cricket team and New Zealand, Radha Yadav demonstrated her exceptional fielding skills. The match, held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, saw India, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, attempt to secure a series lead after winning the first ODI.

New Zealand’s captain Sophie Devine opted to bat first. During the match, Radha Yadav made two remarkable catches, dismissing Georgia Plimmer and Brooke Halliday, significantly contributing to India’s strong fielding performance.

Radha’s Brilliant Catch Removes Georgia Plimmer

New Zealand openers Suzie Bates and Georgia Plimmer provided a steady start, accumulating 46 runs in the first 10 overs. However, in the 16th over, Deepti Sharma’s delivery outside off stump led to a breakthrough. Georgia Plimmer tried to flick the ball but mistimed her shot, directing it towards mid-wicket.

Radha Yadav, stationed at short mid-wicket, sprinted forward and executed a stunning diving catch, igniting celebration among her teammates. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) highlighted this remarkable effort by sharing the catch on social media, praising Radha’s skill.

Priya Mishra Claims Her Maiden Wicket with Radha’s Aid

Debutant Priya Mishra, playing her first senior international match, was creating opportunities but hadn’t taken a wicket yet due to a few dropped chances. This changed when Brooke Halliday attempted an aggressive shot off Priya’s delivery. The ball soared into the air, and Radha Yadav once again stepped up, running back and diving full-length to take another spectacular catch.

This not only marked her second stunning catch of the match but also secured Priya Mishra’s first international wicket. BCCI shared the clip of this impressive moment, celebrating Radha’s fielding brilliance and Priya’s milestone.

Radha Yadav’s exceptional efforts in the field played a crucial role in maintaining the pressure on the New Zealand batting lineup, showcasing why she remains one of the finest fielders in the Indian Women’s cricket team.
