However, there is beauty in seeing Rahul Dravid, the head coach, handing over the medal for this important tournament to Jadeja since they did not have a guest from outside for it.

India taking the field first had a score of 181/8 to work with while batting, Suryakumar Yadav reached a ton. Yadav scored an individual brilliant knock of 53, which came off just 28 balls but in the end, only 53 could be added for the dismissal of four Indian wickets.

In the second half, however, it was the turn of Jasprit Bumrah to redefine the match scenario. India bowled out the Afghan team for a meager total of 134 runs. Bumrah again proved the backbone of Indian bowlers, as he bowled four overs and picked up three wickets for a permissible seven runs, with one over being a maiden.

Ravindra Jadeja lifted  after winning the fielder of the match medal:

Ravindra Jadeja, who was featured as the best fielder of the match, was presented with the award after the match. No external guest came to present any Indian player with their first medal in this major tournament; instead, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid gave the medal to Jadeja.

After the conclusion of the game, the scrutiny of the best fielder medal took place in the Indian locker room. It’s a tradition that previous winners and reputable personalities present the trophy or award to the winner, but in this case, Rahul Dravid, the head of the team and the former Indian cricketer, handed over the medal to Jadeja.

Ravindra Jadeja had a wonderful performance on the field, going beyond people’s expectations by making three splendid catches.

India’s fast bowlers voiced their authority with the ball and kept dominating the proceedings as they beat Afghanistan by 47 runs and extended their unbeaten run in the competition.
