Watch – Rahul Tewatia Hurls A Mouthful To Robin Uthappa After Drop Catch

Rahul Tewatia Robin Uthappa

The ongoing Indian Premier League has been a breakthrough season for Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Rahul Tewatia. Everything he has touched has turned into golds except on one occasion against Royal Challengers Bangalore. A dropped catch from Robin Uthappa prompted him to show his angry side as Rajasthan went down in the run-chase.

Chasing 178 runs, Bangalore were off to a flier; thanks to in-form Devdutt Padikkal. Although Aaron Finch once again got out after getting his eyes in. But Padikkal combined well with skipper Virat Kohli to carry the innings. Both of them looked at ease playing their shots before a miscued shot ignited a chance in the ninth over of the match.

Rahul Tewatia got his line right teasing Padikkal by tossing it up outside off. The southpaw came up with a big slog-sweep which resulted in a top edge and Devdutt Padikkal is fortunate that it didn’t carry to Robin Uthappa. It dropped in a few metres in front of deep backward square leg fielder.

Rahul Tewatia looked really furious, screaming his lungs out at the effort from Robin Uthappa there. He thought he should’ve come for the catch and hurled a mouthful to the veteran cricketer.

Meanwhile, good bowling in the middle-overs from Rahul Tewatia and Shreyas Gopal brought Rajasthan Royals back in the game. But another brilliant show from AB de Villiers (55* from 22) in the death guided Royal Challengers Bangalore over the rope with two balls to spare.

Earlier in the day, Rajasthan’s intent looked positive from ball one as Robin Uthappa took on Washington Sundar to hit him for 4 fours in an over. Ace all-rounder Ben Stokes had another sombre affair and so did Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson.

But skipper Steve Smith showed his class and struck a few lusty blows to hand Rajasthan Royals the advantage after the first half of the innings. Chris Morris once again did well with his bull-headed attitude of landing the yorkers at regular intervals which changed the game in RCB’s favour.
