[WATCH]- Ramandeep Singh Grabs A Stunning Diving Catch To Remove Deepak Hooda In The KKR vs LSG IPL 2024 Game

In the IPL 2024 match at Eden Gardens, Kolkata Knight Riders’ Ramandeep Singh executed a spectacular dive to remove Lucknow Super Giants’ Deepak Hooda. Hooda, stepping in for Devdutt Padikkal, struggled, managing only eight runs from 10 balls before departing. This catch reduced Lucknow to 39/2 in 4.4 overs.

For those unfamiliar, the dismissal occurred in the fifth over of Lucknow Super Giants’ innings. Mitchell Starc delivered a length ball outside off, prompting Hooda to attempt guiding it towards deep backward point. Ramandeep executed a full-stretch dive to his right, clutching the catch with both hands to pull off a stunning play.

KKR leads against LSG after the powerplay in the IPL 2024 match

Kolkata Knight Riders have taken control over Lucknow Super Giants after Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to bowl first on Sunday. As of now, the Super Giants stand at 64/2 after nine overs, with skipper KL Rahul and Ayush Badoni batting.

In addition to Hooda’s dismissal, Vaibhav Arora removed Quinton de Kock (10 off eight) early in the innings. Lucknow Super Giants, currently in fourth place, have made some alterations despite having just a one-day gap since their last game against Delhi Capitals, where they suffered a six-wicket loss.

Debutant Shamar Joseph, Mohsin Khan, and Hooda have been added to the playing XI, while Naveen-ul-Haq has been rested for this match. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders, holding the second position, secured three consecutive victories in their initial three matches this season.

However, they suffered a seven-wicket defeat to Chennai Super Kings in a lopsided contest. Despite their strong start, the Knight Riders have yet to secure a victory against Lucknow Super Giants in their three encounters in IPL history.
