All-rounder Ramandeep Singh executed a remarkable catch during the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 match between India A and Pakistan A, held at Al Amerat Cricket Ground on Saturday, October 19.
In pursuit of 184, Pakistan A struggled early, losing Mohammad Haris (6) and Omair Yousuf (2). However, Qasim Akram (27) and Yasir Khan started to form a solid partnership with steady boundaries. In the ninth over, Nishant Sindhu bowled a half-tracker to Yasir, who made solid contact, sending the ball to deep mid-wicket.
Positioned near the boundary, Ramandeep sprinted to his right and leapt forward to make a stunning one-handed catch, surprising everyone with his skill. His teammates celebrated, congratulating him for the vital catch. Yasir returned to the pavilion after scoring 33 runs off 22 balls.

Despite Ramandeep Singh’s catch, Pakistan remained competitive with Arafat Minhas (41) and Abdul Samad (25) at the crease. Although Abbas Afridi (18* off 9) made a strong effort towards the end, Pakistan fell short by seven runs.
Anshul Kamboj was the standout performer for India, taking three wickets, while Rasikh Dar Salam and Nishant Sindhu each claimed two.
Captain Tilak Varma was the highest scorer for India A in the match against Pakistan A
Indian captain Tilak Varma won the toss and elected to bat first. Abhishek Sharma (35) and Prabhsimran Singh (36) gave India a strong start. Varma came in at No. 3 and led the scoring with 44 runs off 35 balls.
Nehal Wadhera (25) and Ramandeep Singh (17) also made significant contributions, helping India A set a solid total of 183. Sufiyan Muqeem was the standout bowler for Pakistan, taking two wickets.
India A will face the United Arab Emirates in their next league match on Monday (October 21) at the same venue.
