Ravindra Jadeja claimed his first wicket of the second Test between India and New Zealand in Pune on Saturday, October 26, by bowling out Tom Blundell, who scored 41 runs off 83 balls. This dismissal left New Zealand at 231/6 in their second innings.
The wicket fell in the 60th over when Jadeja delivered a ball from around the wicket with inward drift. Blundell attempted to defend but missed, allowing the ball to sneak through and hit the top of the middle stump. The left-arm spinner appeared relieved after securing his first wicket of the match.

Interestingly, Ravindra Jadeja went wicketless while his counterpart Mitchell Santner achieved career-best figures of 7/53 in the first innings.
Ravindra Jadeja Makes Three Strikes, But New Zealand Extends Lead Beyond 300
Ravindra Jadeja added to his wickets tally by dismissing Tom Blundell, Mitchell Santner, and Ajaz Patel, yet the Kiwis have pushed their lead past 300 in the second Test. At the time of writing, New Zealand was at 241/9, leading by 344 runs, with Glenn Phillips and William O’Rourke at the crease.
Batting first, the visitors scored 259 runs, with Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra contributing 76 (141) and 65 (105), respectively. Washington Sundar shone with the ball, achieving career-best figures of 7/59, while Ravichandran Ashwin took three wickets.
In reply, the hosts were dismissed for 156 in their first innings, with Ravindra Jadeja, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill each scoring in the 30s. Santner took seven wickets, and Glenn Phillips added two.
The Kiwis are aiming for their first series win in India since they last achieved it in 1988, after winning the opening Test in Bengaluru by eight wickets. Meanwhile, India has not lost a Test series at home since their 1-2 defeat to England in 2012.
