Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant was seen at the JSW Center to meet Parth Jindal, co-owner of his IPL team, before the IPL 2025 retention announcement. For quite some time now, Pant has been the star of the Delhi Capitals. The wicketkeeper batter was named captain by the Capitals in 2021.
In his debut season as skipper, he took the side to the summit of the points table. However, in subsequent tournaments Pant has failed to take the Capitals to playoffs. Franchise’s coach Ricky Ponting who had a great equation with Rishabh Pant has already left the organization.
There are also rumors that Pant is leaving DC for Chennai Super Kings. Nonetheless, it seems that he still keeps in touch with Capital’s management as he was seen yesterday at JSW Center.

Which players should the Delhi Capitals keep alongside Rishabh Pant?
Unless there is a significant rift between Rishabh Pant and the owner of Delhi Capitals, the wicketkeeper batsman should remain as captain in IPL 2025. The wicketkeeper made an excellent comeback to the ground in IPL 2024 and subsequently led Team India to victory at 2024 T20 World Cup.
At present, Pant stands out as one of the most effective match winners for Indian cricket. Additionally, he has demonstrated himself to be a top-notch leader. If three retentions are allowed per franchise by BCCI then DC must keep hold of Pant alongside Axar Patel, who is an all-rounder and Kuldeep Yadav, who is a spinner.
