Dressed in a white baggy t-shirt and black shorts, he demonstrated his determination by pushing himself to the limits during a rigorous deadlift session. What caught the attention of viewers was not just his physical strength but also the focus and dedication he exuded.

The caption he chose for the post, “You get what you work for, not what you wish for” alongside a praying hands emoji, resonates deeply with his strong work ethic and belief that success comes from hard work and perseverance.

Pant’s journey of recovery from the car crash has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. The accident left him with cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee, and several other injuries. However, he managed to escape the vehicle before it caught fire, a fortunate escape that raised concerns about his cricketing future. Nevertheless, Pant’s determination to get back on his feet and return to the game amazed both fans and cricket enthusiasts worldwide.

Initially, it seemed that Pant would miss the entire 2023 season due to the severity of his injuries. However, he defied expectations by making significant strides towards full fitness. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has closely monitored his rehabilitation progress, and the recent developments have been encouraging.

Throughout his recovery journey, Pant has been guided by some of the best physiotherapists in the field. One of them is S Rajnikanth, a renowned physio who has previously worked with Indian age-group teams and Delhi Capitals. He played an instrumental role in the recovery of players like Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, and M Vijay. Additionally, Thulasi Ram Yuvaraj, a physio at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), has been closely monitoring Pant’s progress.

Amid his rehabilitation, Pant has actively engaged in interactive sessions with young cricketers at the NCA, organized by its chief VVS Laxman. These sessions have provided an opportunity for Pant to share his experiences and serve as a source of inspiration for aspiring cricketers.

With the ODI World Cup 2023 drawing near, the excitement regarding his potential return to the Indian team continues to build. His explosive batting skills and exceptional wicket-keeping abilities have been sorely missed, and a fully fit and determined Pant would undoubtedly bolster India’s chances in the prestigious tournament.
