Team India ended their ICC T20 World Cup 2021 campaign on a high beating Namibia by nine wickets in Dubai on Monday. While it was an exemplary effort from the men in blues, wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant won hearts for his generous act.
The incident took place during the first innings of the match after Virat Kohli asked Namibia to bat first. Rishabh accidentally stepped on the bat of Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton when he had dived to complete the second run.
However, Pant was quick to touch the bat of the batsman to show respect towards the cricket equipment which caught everyone’s attention. It went viral on social media with fans showing wholehearted love to Rishabh Pant.

Speaking of the game, India rode onto brilliant bowling performances from Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin to restrict Namibia to 132 runs from their 20 overs. In the run chase, the men in blues banked on half-centuries from Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul to chase down the score convincingly.
“We will come back stronger” – Rishabh Pant
Rishabh Pant, who had a mixed outing in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, vouched to come back stronger in the upcoming assignments. Taking to Instagram, Pant wrote:
“Thank you for showing your love and support. We will come back stronger.”
