Rishi Dhawan Gives Hardik Pandya A 'Flying Kiss' Send-Off

Punjab Kings bowler Rishi Dhawan took the crucial wicket of Hardik Pandya to push the Gujarat Titans on the backfoot at the DY Patil Stadium on Tuesday in the Indian Premier League 2022 season. The Gujarat Titans managed to put on 143 runs on the board in the first innings.

After winning the toss, the Gujarat Titans opted to bat first. However, they lost both their openers early in the innings. Shubman Gill was dismissed for nine runs, while Saha managed to score 21 runs before getting out. Skipper Hardik Pandya walked out to bat after the fall of the second wicket. However, his stay at the crease was short, as Rishi Dhawan sent him back to the hut for just one run.

Hardik Pandya jabbed at a length ball outside off stump, however, the ball found the edge and he was caught by Jitesh Sharma off Rishi Dhawan’s bowling. Dhawan gave the Gujarat Titans skipper a ‘flying kiss’ send-off.

Jonny Bairstow was dismissed for just one run by Mohammed Shami. Bairstow was promoted up the batting order, however, in the third over, he tried to pull Shami for a six.

However, the ball took the top edge and was caught by Sangwan, who dived to complete the catch. Bairstow’s opening partner Shikhar Dhawan is at the crease along with Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Punjab Kings are 43 for one down after the powerplay.
