Rohit Sharma is set to feature on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show
Rohit Sharma will appear in the second season of Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma. This marks his second appearance on the show, having previously joined Shreyas Iyer in the first season.
In this episode, he will be accompanied by fellow T20 World Cup champions Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, and Shivam Dube. A promo reveals the cricketers engaging in an imitation game, with Rohit challenged to guess MS Dhoni.
Axar Patel attempted the challenge but couldn’t replicate Dhoni’s famous helicopter shot. Observing his attempt, Rohit remarked:
“Yeh to sabhi chakka maarte hain aise, thoda alag karke bata (everyone hit a sixer like that, show something different, do it differently).”
Suryakumar Yadav stepped in and further asked:
“Mai dikhau kya? Dikhata hoon. Pakad lenge turrant (Shall I do it? I will do it. He will get it at once)”
He flawlessly mimicked Dhoni’s helicopter shot, and Rohit recognized it in seconds. Suryakumar Yadav will captain India’s T20I team against Bangladesh in the upcoming three-match series beginning Sunday, October 6.
