With the England series done and dusted, the focus now shifts to the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The franchises have started training and recently Mumbai Indians bound India cricketers – Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav joined the squad ahead of IPL 2021. The defending champions will begin their campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season-opener on April 9.
Incidentally, Hardik and Krunal were part of the 3rd and the final ODI between India and England while Suryakumar was the 12th man. Virat Kohli snatched the match from the jaws to defeat to win the series by seven runs in the final over and end their long season on a high. The season started with the tour of Australia where they scripted a historic Test series win before pulling off an all-format win against England.

As per the COVID-19 protocols, the players were wearing masks. Since they were in a bio-bubble in Pune, the trio might be allowed to skip the mandatory isolation period.
