Rohit Sharma is the all-format captain of Team India and is also the captain of Mumbai Indians (MI). Recently, during a media day shoot, we can see him handing over his centrestage chair to youngster Dewald Brevis which melted the hearts of the fans.
While participating in one of the interviews, Sharma humbly asked the South African young prodigy to take centre stage and sit in the centre chair. In response, Brevis told Rohit that it was his chair, and he couldn’t sit on it, but Rohit requested Brevis to enjoy the moment and sit in the centre with a smile on his face.

Notably, Jaydev Unadkat was witnessing everything from one corner of the chair. Notably, Rohit Sharma’s modest gesture impressed netizens as many lauded Sharma for promoting youngsters and being the natural leader of the pack.
Here are some reactions:

This set of gestures makes him one of the best leaders and one of the best people to lead the game forward in India. Senior players treat the juniors and new players with respect and they know how they need to be treated and how they would have felt if their seniors did that kind of stuff for them.
Rohit Sharma’s records in IPL 2022
Rohit is having a rather difficult season with both bat and as a captain but he has made sure the players are united and in good spirits. He has managed only 218 runs in 12 matches at an average of 18.17. This is the first season in the history of IPL, Rohit Sharma has gone without scoring a half-century.
Rohit’s outings pretty much sums up Mumbai’s campaign in IPL 2022. The five-time IPL champions languish at the bottom of the points table with only three wins in 12 matches. Mumbai Indians and Rohit would want to end their last few games on a high and make sure they come back roaring with better confidence next season.
