[WATCH] Rovman Powell pulls off stunning one-handed screamer to dismiss Heinrich Klaasen in SRH vs KKR clash

Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Rovman Powell took an incredible one-handed catch to get out SunRisers Hyderabad batter Heinrich Klaasen during their IPL 2026 match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, May 3. Klaasen was out for just 11 runs off 9 balls, and SRH lost their third wicket at 117.

The moment happened in the 11th over. Cameron Green bowled a short ball outside off stump, and Klaasen tried to pull it but didn’t hit it properly. The ball went towards the leg side where Powell, standing at deep mid-wicket, ran to his right and jumped.

He managed to grab the ball with one hand while in the air. Even though he fell down, he kept control of the ball. The TV umpire checked it carefully and confirmed it was a fair catch. During the effort, Powell even broke his sunglasses.

SunRisers Hyderabad lose grip as Kolkata Knight Riders mount strong comeback

Kolkata Knight Riders, led by Ajinkya Rahane, made a comeback after SunRisers Hyderabad started well in their IPL 2026 match. Varun Chakaravarthy gave KKR a big breakthrough by dismissing Travis Head for a quick 61 off 28 balls.

Earlier, Cameron Green got rid of Heinrich Klaasen, while Kartik Tyagi dismissed Abhishek Sharma for 15 off 10. At the time of writing, SRH were 131/4 in 13 overs, with Ishan Kishan (34 off 24) and Aniket Verma (2 off 4) batting.

Earlier, the Pat Cummins-led SRH had chased down a huge target of 244 against Mumbai Indians in their last match. They have won six out of nine games so far and are placed third on the IPL 2026 points table. Another win would make it five victories in a row.

On the other hand, KKR have won their last two matches but are still eighth on the table, with just two wins in eight games, along with one shared point against Punjab Kings due to a rain-hit match. This is the second time these two teams are facing each other this season. Last time, SRH defeated KKR by 65 runs at Eden Gardens.
