Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi Dhoni, was seen in a cheerful mood while leaving Wankhede Stadium after the IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday, April 20. It was a tough outing for CSK as they endured a comprehensive nine-wicket defeat against their long-standing rivals.
Opting to bat first after losing the toss, CSK managed to post a below-par total of 176/5 in their 20 overs. MS Dhoni couldn’t make much of an impact with the bat, getting dismissed for 4 (6) in the 19th over. MI chased down the target comfortably in just 15.4 overs, courtesy of stellar performances from Rohit Sharma (76*) and Suryakumar Yadav (68*).
A video posted by an Instagram user offered a glimpse of Sakshi Dhoni departing the stadium after watching the match live. In the clip, she can be seen smiling as she boarded a bus to leave the venue. You can watch the video here:

During the post-match presentation, CSK skipper MS Dhoni expressed disappointment with his team’s batting, stating they couldn’t post a competitive total on what was a good batting surface.
“We were below par; 175 wasn’t enough with dew around. Bumrah started early at the death, and we should’ve attacked more. Ayush Mhatre’s intent was impressive—great sign for us,” Dhoni said at the post-match presentation.
“They played spin well, especially Surya. We gave away too much in the first six. With dew, it got easier. We must focus on playing smart cricket, not get emotional,” he added.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their next IPL 2025 match on Friday, April 25, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
