[WATCH]- Salman Ali Agha Grabs Stunning Catch At Slip On Day 3 Of PAK vs WI 1st Test 2025

Pakistan all-rounder Salman Ali Agha pulled off a sensational catch at slip on Day 3 of the first Test against the West Indies at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday (January 19). The 31-year-old capitalized on the extra bounce from the surface to dismiss Kevin Sinclair.

The wicket came in the 35th over, bowled by leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed. A length delivery outside off from Abrar struck a tricky spot on the pitch, bouncing sharply at Sinclair.

The batter edged it, and Salman grabbed the catch at shoulder height. This marked Abrar’s second wicket of the innings, following the dismissal of debutant Tevin Imlach earlier. You can watch the video here:

The 26-year-old then dismissed Gudakesh Motie and Jomel Warrican to wrap up the innings, finishing with impressive figures of 11.3-2-27-4 and claiming a five-wicket haul in the match. The Asian giants secured a convincing 127-run victory in the first of the two Tests.

Salman Ali Agha Faces Challenges Alongside Fellow Pakistan and West Indies Batters

The Lahore-born cricketer struggled with the bat, much like most others, on a pitch heavily favoring spinners, with both teams suffering batting collapses. The spin-bowling all-rounder managed just 16 runs across two innings.

Pakistan endured a collapse in the first innings, slipping from 187-4 to 230 all out, followed by a second-innings total of 157 after being 109-3. However, a crucial 141-run stand between Saud Shakeel (84) and Mohammad Rizwan (71) formed the backbone of Pakistan’s first-innings total.

In contrast, the West Indies failed to cross 150 in either innings, managing only 137 and 123. Off-spinner Sajid Khan was the standout bowler, taking nine wickets in the match, including a five-wicket haul on Day 3.

The second and final Test between Pakistan and the West Indies is set to begin on January 25 at the same venue, with the home side well-positioned to clinch the series.
