[WATCH]- Samit Dravid Hits A Remarkable Six In The Maharaja T20 Trophy Match Between Mysuru Warriors And Bengaluru Blasters

In the current season of Karnataka State Cricket Association’s (KSCA) Maharaja T20 Trophy, former captain of India and head coach Rahul Dravid‘s son Samit Dravid is playing for Mysuru Warriors. Mysuru played Bengaluru Blasters in Match 4 of the tournament on Friday, August 16.

Upon winning the toss, the Blasters opted to bowl first. Due to rain, the match was curtailed to 18 overs each. The Warriors scored 182 for 6 in 18 overs with contributions from Manoj Bhandage (58 not out) and Harshil Dharmani (50).

Samit came out as the number four batter when the Warriors had lost two wickets for only 51 runs at just over four and a half overs. The right-handed batsman amazed fans by smashing a massive six down the ground off pacer Gneshwar Naveen’s bowling.

Naveen delivered a short of a length ball outside the off stump in the fourth ball of the seventh over. Samit smashed it out for a magnificent six over the long-on fence. You can watch the video here:

Even after the towering six of Samit Dravid, Gneshwar Naveen had the last laugh in the battle. The next ball was also enough for Samit to get out after scoring seven runs off as many deliveries.

At last, Blasters chased down the target of 183 runs winning by a margin of four wickets after 17.1 overs. The leading scorer was Bhuvan Raju, with 51 runs to his name. It needs to be noted that Samit, an all-rounder at just eighteen years was bought by the Warriors at only ₹50,000 during the Maharaja T20 Trophy auction.
