Reflecting on his recent cricketing achievements, Sanju Samson’s performance in the ODI series against South Africa was commendable. While he faced a minor setback in the second ODI at St George’s Park in Gqeberha, being dismissed for a modest 12 runs off 23 deliveries, he quickly bounced back in the subsequent match.
The Boland Park match witnessed a masterclass from Samson, where he constructed a pivotal innings of 108 runs off 114 balls, laced with six boundaries and three impressive sixes. This stellar contribution enabled India to set a challenging target of 296/8. Furthermore, bolstered by Arshdeep Singh’s stellar four-wicket haul, the Indian squad clinched victory by a convincing margin of 78 runs, securing their second ODI series triumph on South African soil.
