Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed finally got some game time in the final game of the tour of England. He brought luck with himself as the visiting team managed to secure their first win of the tour. However, Sarfaraz didn’t had a great game and missed an easy stumping.
The veteran was a part of both the Test and ODI squads. However, with Mohammad Rizwan doing justice to his selection, Sarfaraz Ahmed had warm the benches. His opportunity came in the final game of the tour at the Old Trafford in Manchester.
Meanwhile, with the batting order living up to the expectation, the veteran didn’t get any opportunity to bat. Debutant Haider Ali and Mohammad Hafeez smacked ball all over the park as Pakistan posted 190 runs in their quota of 20 overs.
Sarfaraz Ahmed misses an easy stumping
Everyone was expecting Sarfaraz Ahmed to impress behind the wickets but the former cricketer had a bad day in business. He missed an easy stumping and gave England all-rounder Moeen Ali a respite.
Meanwhile, the incident took place in the 11th over of Englad’s innings. On the fourth ball of the over, Imad Wasim delivered a juicy full-toss which tempted Moeen to step out. However, he completely missed the ball and was way outside the crease. All Sarfaraz Ahmed had to do was to take the bails off.
But for some reasons, Sarfaraz couldn’t take the bails off despite having the ball in his hand. With the time offered, Moeen Ali managed to regain his crease and saved himself from getting out.

Moeen Ali made the most of the opportunity smacking 61 off the 33 deliveries including four boundaries and sixes each. However, it was not enough to secure England another victory. Pakistan made a comeback in the dying moment to end the series in a stalemate.
Wahab Riaz and Shaheen Afridi were exceeding well in the death overs. They kept their nerves to take their side home as the home side fell five runs short.
England will now face Australia in the three-match T20I series followed by the same number of ODIs starting September 4.
