Chennai Super Kings (CSK) cricketer Sarfaraz Khan produced a brilliant moment in the field, taking a stunning catch to dismiss Mumbai Indians (MI) batter Naman Dhir during their IPL 2026 clash at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday, May 2. The 28-year-old, who has also kept wickets in the past, moved swiftly to his left at extra cover and timed his jump perfectly, grabbing the ball with both hands while tumbling to the ground.
Dhir’s impressive knock came to an end at 57 off 37 deliveries, featuring three sixes and four fours. The wicket fell in the 17th over of MI’s innings. Having conceded a six on the previous ball, Jamie Overton responded smartly with a slower off-cutter that gripped the surface.
Dhir misjudged the change in pace, attempted to make room for a big shot, and ended up mistiming it straight towards extra cover, where Sarfaraz completed the catch. You can watch the video here:

Naman Dhir’s resilient innings guided Mumbai Indians (MI) to 159/7 in their 20 overs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their IPL 2026 clash. Ryan Rickelton added a steady 37 off 24 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav provided a quick 21 from 12 deliveries. Skipper Hardik Pandya chipped in with 18 off 23 balls to support the total.
For CSK, Anshul Kamboj was the standout performer with the ball, picking up 3/32 in his four overs. His effort saw him draw level with Bhuvneshwar Kumar as the joint-leading wicket-taker of the season, both with 17 wickets in nine matches. Noor Ahmad claimed two wickets, while debutant Ramakrishna Ghosh and Jamie Overton took one each.
