He launched a blistering assault, scoring a sensational century in just 47 balls. His aggressive approach kept the fielding side under pressure, and he reached the 100-run mark with a single, marking an extraordinary innings.

Shreyas Iyer played a brilliant knock of an unbeaten 130 runs off just 57 balls, blasting 10 sixes and 11 fours. His explosive batting helped Mumbai set an imposing total of 250 runs in their T20 match.

Shreyas Iyer is set to enter the IPL 2025 mega auction

Shreyas Iyer enjoyed a remarkable year with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), leading the team to victory in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Despite the successful campaign, the franchise decided to part ways with their captain before the IPL 2025 mega auction.

The three-time champions retained Rinku Singh (₹13 crore), Sunil Narine (₹12 crore), Andre Russell (₹12 crore), Varun Chakravarthy (₹12 crore), Harshit Rana (₹4 crore), and Ramandeep Singh (₹4 crore). With these six players kept, KKR will have no Right to Match (RTM) options.

KKR triumphed over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2024 final, securing a dominant eight-wicket win. Shreyas Iyer accumulated 351 runs in 14 innings during the season, boasting a strike rate of 146.86 and an average of 39.

With his proven leadership skills in the league, Shreyas is expected to attract significant interest at the IPL 2025 mega auction. The 29-year-old will be available for a starting price of ₹2 crore. The auction will be held at the Abady Al-Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25.
