[WATCH]: “Shubman Is A Quarter Of Your Age”- Bollywood Wives Gossip About Shubman Gill On Netflix

Team India‘s top-order batter Shubman Gill was mentioned in a segment from the recently released third season of Netflix’s Bollywood Wives. In one episode, the main characters discussed attendees from the film and cricket worlds for an upcoming event.

During the chat, actress Neelam Kothari Soni asked if Shubman Gill would be attending. In response, Bhavana Pandey humorously pointed out that Shubman is one-quarter of Neelam’s age.

Additionally, the Bollywood wives struggled to pronounce Shubman’s name correctly. You can catch a glimpse of the segment below:

In cricket news, Shubman Gill is part of India’s squad for the current three-match Test series against New Zealand. He missed the first match in Bengaluru due to neck and shoulder pain.

India was dismissed for just 46 runs in their first innings, marking their lowest Test total at home. Despite a strong effort in the second innings with 462 runs, they ultimately faced a disappointing eight-wicket loss.

Although Shubman Gill was not available for selection in the first Test between India and New Zealand, he appears to be recovering well. The right-handed batter was spotted practising at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium after the first Test concluded.

The 25-year-old faced pacers Mayank Yadav and Prasidh Krishna, who are part of the Indian squad as travelling reserves for the series against New Zealand.

It’s notable that Gill was in excellent form during India’s two-match home Test series against Bangladesh in September, scoring an impressive unbeaten 119 runs in the first match in Chennai.

The second Test between India and New Zealand is scheduled to take place at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune starting October 24. Despite their loss in the first Test, India remains at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC 2023-25) standings, with 98 points and a percentage of 68.06.
