The 2023 Indian Premier League season will get underway in less than a month’s time on Friday, March 31. The Chennai Super Kings will take on the Gujarat Titans in the season opener of the league at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni joined the franchise earlier this week, to prepare for the much-awaited tournament.

The wicket-keeper batter kicked off training with the franchise in their pre-season camp. He hit the ground running and was also seen slamming towering sixes during the session. In a video shared by a fan on social media, MS Dhoni was seen stepping down and smashing a huge six. The clip has gone viral, with fans waiting to see their idol back on the field.

In another viral video on social media, Chennai Super Kings skipper MS Dhoni was seen bowling during the practice session in Chepauk. The fans were amazed to see the wicket-keeper batter bowl. Some predicted that this might be an indication for the season ahead.

The Chennai Super Kings franchise retained most of its squad from the 2022 Indian Premier League season. They have a great pool of experienced players in the side. MS Dhoni is likely to lead the team this season. The inclusion of Ben Stokes boosts the team’s arsenal. Meanwhile, the franchise might miss the services of New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson.
