[WATCH]- Team India Captain Rohit Sharma Leaves For Sri Lanka For The Upcoming ODI Series

Recently, the captain of Team India Rohit Sharma was seen at Mumbai Airport, heading to Sri Lanka. He travelled to the island nation for the upcoming three-match ODI series. Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian side is now facing Sri Lanka in the three-match T20I series. The ODI leg of this tour will start on August 2nd, which is a Friday.

After his Career’s First One Day International match Since the World Cup we lost last year on November 19 against Australia. So far, he has only played T20I and Test cricket. However, now he is back to playing 50-overs format as India prepares for the Champions Trophy which is planned for the beginning of next year.

An individual on Instagram (@Pallav_Paliwal) has posted a video displaying Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma walking into an airport in Mumbai. The World Cup winning Indian skipper was spotted wearing a simple shirt along with trousers, making his way to Sri Lanka through the airport.

Shreyas Iyer was seen at the airport in preparation for the IND vs SL ODI series

Shreyas Iyer, who played the lead role of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 trophy, was found at the airport before going for a three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka. In his casual attire comprising a brown T-shirt, white lower and matching sneakers; Iyer appeared fantastic. His pictures with a female fan were taken by paparazzi just outside the airport.

However, nothing has ascertained if Iyer has departed for Sri Lanka for the ODI series. The dates scheduled for the three matches are August 2nd, 4th and 7th respectively at Colombo.

Shreyas Iyer will transfer his recent Indian Premier League (IPL) fame into the 50-over format. The right-handed batsman scored 351 runs in 14 games with two fifties and a strike rate of 146.86.

In the 2023 World Cup, Iyer stood out among the top run-scorers with an impressive tally of 530 runs made through 11 matches at a remarkable average of 66.25 – including two hundred and three half-centuries.

For instance, in his last year’s 50-over stint, he managed to rack up a total of 846 runs through nineteen innings with an average score of 52.88. In terms of overall malignity, Iyer has accumulated 2383 scores over 54 innings powered by 5 centuries and 18 fifties only.
