India beat Australia by four wickets on Tuesday in the first semi-final clash of the Champions Trophy 2025. This was more than a semi-final win for India. This win helped the Indian cricket fans heal a little from the World Cup 2023 final loss at Ahmedabad on November 19, 2023.
Rohit Sharma has become one of the select captains to take his team to all the WC, CT, and T20 WC finals. India restricted Australia to a decent total, and chased the target with the perfect pace to ensure a smooth win. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the special moments of the team as it beat Australia.

Kohli was seen sharing a funny and a happy moment with Rohit Sharma in the dressing room as Hardik Pandya was hitting sixes in the middle. As Hardik walked inside the dressing room after getting out, Kohli and Kuldeep patted his back in appreciation for his short but impactful innings. While Kuldeep was ready with the pads on, Rahul and Jadeja finished the job for India and everyone inside the dressing room celebrated sharing hugs.
All the players seemed ecstatic and then they went to the ground and met with the Aussie players, shook hands with them for playing the sport in great spirit. This was a comprehensive win for India where almost everyone stepped up with the ball and the bat at different occasions to help the team reach the finals. Rohit Sharma now has the opportunity to win another ICC Trophy as a captain for India.
Virat Kohli was adjudged player of the match for his long innings of 84. Kohli missed out on a well deserved century, but his innings had almost sealed the game for India. Now the eyes will be on the second semi-final clash between South Africa (RSA) and New Zealand (NZ) on Wednesday. One thing is for sure now, the finals of the Champions Trophy 2025 will take place in Dubai, and not in the grounds of the host nation Pakistan.
