[WATCH] Team India Fast Bowler Sends Stumps Flying In 2025–26 Ranji Trophy Clash

Team India quick Prasidh Krishna put on a fiery bowling show during the 2025–26 Ranji Trophy clash between Punjab and Karnataka on Sunday, February 1. The fast bowler cleaned up Emanjot Singh Chahal with a stunning delivery on the fourth and final day of the match.

The breakthrough came in the 80th over of Punjab’s innings as Krishna pitched the ball up, beating the batter for pace and timing. With Chahal late on his shot, the off and middle stumps were sent cartwheeling. Sharing the clip on X, the BCCI wrote:

“Sound of Timber. Prasidh Krishna produces a beauty again to dismiss Emanjot Chahal.”

Prasidh Krishna claimed 3/49 to help Karnataka bowl out Punjab for 256, finishing with four wickets in the match. In form across formats, he will next turn out for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026, having taken 25 wickets last season after being retained for INR 9.5 crore.

Prasidh Krishna impresses as Karnataka vs Punjab Ranji Trophy heads for a draw

Prasidh Krishna delivered an impressive spell with the ball, but the Ranji Trophy clash between Punjab and Karnataka appears set for a draw. Punjab, batting first, posted 309 in their opening innings, led by Emanjot Singh Chahal’s 83 and Abhijeet Garg’s 81.

For Karnataka, Vidyadhar Patil and Shreyas Gopal picked up four and three wickets respectively. In reply, Karnataka edged past Punjab’s total by seven runs, finishing on 316, with half-centuries from Shreyas Gopal and KL Rahul.

Harpreet Brar was Punjab’s standout bowler, claiming four wickets. Punjab were then bowled out for 256 in their second innings, with skipper Uday Sharan top-scoring with 93. Chasing 250, Karnataka moved to 94/1 in 11.3 overs, with Devdutt Padikkal and Mayank Agarwal at the crease after KL Rahul’s dismissal for 13.

So far this season, Karnataka have won two of their six Ranji Trophy matches, while Punjab have registered just one victory from six games.
