[WATCH] Team India Kick Off Preparations For ODI Series Against South Africa

Team India kicked off the preparations for the ODI series against South Africa, which kicks off on Sunday, December 16 at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. The recent three-match T20I series between the two countries ended in a tie, with India winning the final match by 106 runs.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video on Instagram from India’s training session in Johannesburg. KL Rahul was seen working on his wicket-keeping skills, followed by a batting session in the nets. He faced the likes of Axar Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal. Sharing the video on social media, the BCCI wrote,

“Our ODI group has arrived in Johannesburg! 🙌🏽 Preparations have begun. 1st one-day on Sunday. #TeamIndia | #SAvIND”

Squads for the India vs South Africa ODI series

Wicket-keeper KL Rahul will be leading the Indian team in the upcoming ODI series against South Africa. He along with the likes of Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan, Sai Sudharsan, and Rajat Patidar joined the squad after the conclusion of the T20I series. The series kicks off on Sunday, December 17, followed by the second ODI on December 19 at Gqeberha. The final match will take place on December 21 at the Boland Park in Paarl.
