[WATCH] Team India Reach New York Ahead Of The T20 World Cup 2024

With the conclusion of the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL), many players have now turned their attention to international competitions, notably the upcoming T20 World Cup. This prestigious event is set to begin on June 2 and will be co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies.

To the delight of fans, the Indian cricket team has arrived in New York in preparation for the World Cup. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video clip of the squad landing at New York airport on their X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, which quickly gained popularity across social media platforms.

The video features numerous prominent players such as Shubman Gill, Shivam Dube, and Arshdeep Singh among others, both on the airplane and upon their arrival at the airport. As for the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team is scheduled to play a warm-up match before the main tournament begins.

Team India have a good chance to win the World Cup

They will face Bangladesh in a warm-up game at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Saturday, June 1. Following this, India will commence their T20 World Cup journey against Ireland. This match will also take place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York, on Wednesday, June 5, and will be the eighth game of the tournament.

India and Ireland are part of Group A in the T20 World Cup, which also includes Canada, Pakistan, and the USA. The group stage matches promise to be exciting, especially given the USA’s recent surprising victory over Bangladesh in a three-game T20I series.

Additionally, one of the most anticipated matches, the India-Pakistan clash, is scheduled for June 9 in New York, a fixture that always garners significant attention and excitement from cricket fans worldwide.
