India battled hard and had luck on their side to draw the Brisbane Test

After a challenging start in the third BGT 2024-25 Test at Brisbane, the Indian team showcased resilience to secure a draw. While rain played a crucial role in the result, their determined effort will boost their confidence ahead of the Melbourne Test.

Batting first, Australia posted a formidable 445, powered by stellar centuries from Steve Smith and Travis Head. Jasprit Bumrah was the standout bowler for India, claiming six wickets.

In response, India managed 260, with vital contributions from KL Rahul (84) and Ravindra Jadeja (77), along with a crucial 31 from Akash Deep, helping them avoid the follow-on.

Australia batted again to set a target for India, declaring their innings at 89/7 with Bumrah (3), Siraj (2), and Akash Deep (2) taking wickets. Rohit Sharma and his team reached 8/0 in 2.1 overs before rain on day five forced both sides to settle for a draw.
