[WATCH] Trent Boult Dismisses Both Aiden Markram And Rahul Tripathi In The Same Over During The RR vs SRH Match

Trent Boult, a Rajasthan Royals pacer, demolished the SRH top order in his first three overs during Qualifier 2 on Friday, May 24. Aiden Markram’s comeback to the SRH lineup ended on a low note, as he scored only one run and was one of Boult’s victims in his debut. RR had won the toss and decided to field first on the day.

Rahul Tripathi, a young batsman for SRH, appeared to have excellent bat technique before losing his wicket against RR in Chennai on Friday during the IPL 2024 Qualifier 2. Tripathi targeted RR spinner R. Ashwin and pacer Trent Boult during his explosive 37 runs off 15 balls.

In a thrilling cameo, the teenage SRH batsman struck five boundaries and two sixes, setting himself up for a massive total. But Boult had other ideas; using a lower bouncer, the left-arm pacer outwitted Tripathi.

Because of the lack of pace, Tripathi mishandled his well-executed ramp shot and guided the ball to Yuzvendra Chahal at short third.

Trent Boult dismisses the SRH top order within his first three overs:

Trent Boult took three wickets in his opening three overs against the SRH top order on Friday, May 24, during the Qualifier 2. Boult’s first victim was SRH batsman Abhishek Sharma, who he dismissed for 12 runs.

After hitting a six and a boundary early in the over, Abhishek became a little too eager for another big one and ended up lofting one over Tom Kohler-Cadmore. After that, Rahul Tripathi entered the game and contributed well to maintain the SRH run rate high.

Tripathi hit 37 off 15 balls, but Boult would come back to claim the crucial wicket for his team. Boult delivered a sluggish bouncer that fell into the clutches of Yuzvendra Chahal. In the same over, Boult would get Markram, with Chahal making another brilliant grab.
