[WATCH]- Vaibhav Suryavanshi Takes Stunning Catch to Dismiss Ben Curran in ZIM vs IND 1st T20I

India youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi produced an excellent catch to send Ben Curran, the brother of England all-rounder Sam Curran, back to the pavilion during the first T20I of the three-match series against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on Thursday, July 23.

The breakthrough came on the second delivery of the fourth over. Prince Yadav bowled a short-of-a-length ball outside off, which Curran tried to pull but failed to time properly. Positioned at mid-wicket, Suryavanshi reacted quickly, moved to his left, and safely completed a sharp catch to hand Prince his maiden wicket of the match.

The left-handed batter managed 10 runs from eight deliveries, striking two boundaries before being dismissed. His wicket reduced Zimbabwe to 19/2 in 3.2 overs.

Three Early Wickets Put India In Command Against Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe endured a nightmare start after being asked to bat first in the opening T20I, with Mayank Yadav striking off the very first delivery to dismiss Brian Bennett for a golden duck. Prince Yadav then joined the party in the third over, removing Ben Curran for 10.

Mayank added another wicket to his tally in the fifth over by sending back Dion Myers, who managed just six runs off 14 deliveries, including a boundary. His dismissal left Zimbabwe struggling at 20/3 in 4.2 overs. At the time of writing, the hosts were 26/3 after six overs, with Ryan Burl (1*) and captain Sikandar Raza (4*) at the crease.
