[WATCH] Viral Video Shows Identical Celebrations By Shaheen Afridi And Shahid Afridi

Despite being thousands of miles apart, the ‘sasur-damad’ duo, Shaheen Afridi and Shahid Afridi, showcased a remarkable connection. Both players took two wickets each and celebrated the dismissals in the same way. Shaheen played in The Hundred tournament in England, while Shahid featured in the Global T20 Canada.

Surprisingly, both players took two wickets each during their respective matches on the same day, and their celebrations after each wicket were eerily similar. In February of this year, it should be noted that the star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi got married to Ansha, the daughter of former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi.

Shaheen took the wickets representing Welsh Fire against Manchester Originals in The Hundred, while Shahid secured two wickets in a Global T20 Canada match, playing for Toronto Nationals against Vancouver Knights.

Shaheen Afridi and Shahid Afridi celebrate over taking wickets in their individual games

In their opening match of the Hundred 2023, Welsh Fire had a successful start, clinching a nine-run win against Manchester Originals in a rain-affected contest. Both players each took two wickets, and their wicket-celebration style was exactly the same. The match was reduced to 40 balls per side due to the weather conditions. Welsh Fire managed to score 94 for 3, while Manchester Originals were limited to 85 for 4, with Shaheen taking 2 wickets for 24 runs in his 10-ball spell.

Shaheen had his debut match in The Hundred, and it proved to be a remarkable one for the Pakistani fast bowler as he showcased great accuracy and skill. In the final league stage match of the ongoing Global T20 Canada, Vancouver Knights secured a 25-run victory against Toronto Nationals.

Despite Shahid’s impressive performance of taking 2 wickets for 16 runs in four overs, his efforts were in vain as his team couldn’t clinch the win.
